Personally, I have no aversion to hardcore whatsoever (and, by some accounts, can be a “pretty sick fuck” when it comes to some of the porn I really like, judging by your comments), so maybe I’m not the best one to assess the impact of the situation. However, I am curious what you think. So, is it a mistake for such a historically softcore site to go hardcore? Or has the negative attitude towards hardcore porn simply softened over time? Well, all the content that you’ve previewed here (i’m too lazy now to go to their site and check if there’s anything else) is quite old and has been released years ago on other places. One could draw conclusions from that… But for now I’ll leave it with that comment.
In general that’s an interesting question. I would say that an established ‘softcore’ site should stick with that for their vast majority of releases. Because that’s their strong point and i’m checking them for that reason. If they have occasionally HC specials and this is very original stuff, that might be fine too. But i don’t think that a regular mix of solo and boy/girl stuff does help them.
As to HC on DB: I’m no fan of HC, and before its Big Change, they had very little, if any. Their latest model, Joan iirc, did a video that seems to be mostly HC (and quite long, at that). I’m becoming disgusted with DB (and have been, for a long time, with ODA).
DB, however, has opened access to Sneak-A-Peak*, which I hadn’t ever subscribed to, and afaik nobody on USENET has ripped off, at least recently. S-A-P has some quite-enjoyable content, although all images (afaik) are small by modern standards.

It’s possible to do both softcore and hardcore during the same shoot easily enough, if the model is up for it. Then leave it to the subscriber to choose how far they want to see the model go. I seem to recall Sam 38G doing a bunch of solo shots beautifully made up in a partially transparent black slip nightie/dress, then the accompanying video was hardcore.
