Another quick question for you all: Vix & I were sitting around last night talking about porn, as you do. She was wondering why, with the proliferation of free hosted galleries chock full of photos & videos available at no charge all over the ‘net, people still actually pay for porn. I seriously had to think about this one for a moment before answering, considering that MyBoobSite alone in its 641 posts to date hosts 7,350 photos and 765 video clips (no wonder I suck up several terabytes of bandwidth per month with this blog), and that’s not even counting the copious collections of external gallery links!
Sure, I could’ve easily taken the altruistic approach in answering Vix by saying that I like paying for porn because it helps support the hard-working models, especially in the case of solo sites where they’ve got a personal stake in it, but I don’t for a moment expect that this is genuinely representative of the motivation behind Mr. (or Ms.) Average Porn Surfer doing so (no offence, guys & gals, as I realise that readers of this blog are anything but average). And, to be perfectly honest, that’s not my primary reason either, despite being a major advocate for model independence, financially and otherwise.
No, I had to look deeper, and the fact that I could but wholeheartedly agree with Vix’ assertion that “it only takes one photo to have a good wank” didn’t help matters either as such had certainly been the case with me in the past (although I more often than not found myself taking several different poses of a given model and cascading them across my screen before doing so). ;~) I finally settled after much belaboured delibration upon the consideration that there are just some models I simply can’t get enough of – 32JJ blonde teen Ashley from DreamOfAshley being a prime example of recent times – and it’s just a matter that I want… no… need to see everything she’s got!

My personal policy is to maintain one membership at a pay porn site at a time, though I’ve expanded that to two now that I’ve become sort of infatuated with Miss Isabelle, and since her site is so cheap.
I have a few reasons for paying for porn.
-Like you, Reese, there are certain models I can’t get enough of. At the moment, I am serially joining sites with Laura Orsolya photos, but in the past it’s been Maria Moore or Faith or Chloe or others. When I get obsessed with a model, I want all the photos of them I can get.
-I so cannot understand the idea that “you only need one photo for a wank” that it actually seems insane to me. I am fantasizing a situation, and to do so, I need to have lots and lots of photos so I can put a full scene together out of those separate images. So I subscribe to porn sites because not only is one photo not enough, neither are the dozen or so you provide. If I am going to fantasize that the photos are documents of some sex scene happening in life, and if I am going to have a wank looking at them, I need a whole series- I need, in fact, at least 30-40 photos to really have a good wank. I cannot imagine getting off on one picture, and never have done.
-When I look at a photo set, as if I am seeing a succession of stills from a film, I get more than just a bunch of shots I turn into a real-time event in my head, I also get much more visual information, which again I need to pull off the fantasy. Looking at a model from just one angle is nowhere near enough for me. If I am going to fantasize about them, I want as much visual information as I can get to compensate for the lack of physical presence. I want to see them from every angle. In fact, most porn scenes themselves don’t have enough angles for me. What they do have, and where they will therefore always have the edge for me over photos, is the event occurring in real time, with all the sense of fleshiness that comes from all the different kinds of movement in the frame.
-Ultimately, then, it’s because I am not a still photo guy, I’m a film/video guy. I would never ever subscribe to a porn site IF all those photo sets were actually videos that I could buy on DVD to watch on my big screen TV. My wee computer screen is no substitute. But, unfortunately, for every Laura Orsolya video scene, there are a dozen photo sets. Since I have a thing for her right now, buying all the vids of her I can find just isn’t enough. And the fact that I could direct a scene 10x better in my head (by imagining it from out of a bunch of stills) than about 3/4s of the scenes of her I can buy on DVD provides that extra bit of impetus to subscribe to DDF Busty or XXCel.
So those are my thoughts. One photo for a wank! Crazy…
